Test bench technology

A test bench is a device or apparatus that can be used to test the properties of a component or technical product. Long-term tests determine the service life of the product and any wear parts. Furthermore, prescribed target values can be measured and evaluated. In addition to the mechanical design for holding the test object, a test stand also includes the corresponding sensors and control system to generate the properties and record the measured values. Test benches are differentiated according to the task area (e.g. endurance test bench, climate test bench, vibration test bench) as well as according to the test objects (e.g. engine test bench, vehicle test bench, aggregate test bench).
