To protect the strain gauge, the application area is covered by a robust aluminium tube that is encapsulated with a highly elastic compound. This protects the tension rod from mechanical and chemical damage, ensuring the longevity and reliability of our products. Our tension rods use strain gauge full bridges to measure changes in length and transverse strain exerted on the transducer by tensile forces. With a bridge balance of approx. ±0.01 mV/V in the unloaded state, we offer outstanding accuracy. In addition, our tension rods are designed for direct connection to controllers or comparator circuits, making integration into your existing systems easier. Another advantage is that the shield of the supply cable is not connected to the surface of the force transducer. This ensures interference-free signal acquisition.
