Calibration Service

Calibration service for load cells and force measurement systems

Reliable force measurement requires measuring equipment that is regularly checked and documented. VELOMAT offers calibration services for force transducers and force measurement systems – both for its own sensors and for products from other manufacturers.

Calibrations are available for tensile, compressive and combined tensile and compressive forces in the range from 1 to 500 kN. Other force ranges are available on request.

Calibration in accordance with standards and traceable

Our calibrations are carried out in accordance with DIN EN ISO 376 or DAkkS-DKD-R 3-9 and are traceable to national standards.

Testing and calibration are carried out in accordance with the respective measurement range and the intended application. The results are documented in a transparent manner and recorded in a calibration certificate.

The calibration certificate issued by VELOMAT meets the requirements of DIN EN ISO 17025 and supports you in the monitoring of test equipment as well as in documentation within the framework of your quality management system.

Calibration procedure

Every calibration job begins with a thorough inspection of the force transducer or force measurement system.

1. Visual inspection
Inspection of the sensor body, encapsulation or welded joints, as well as cable glands and cables.

2. Preliminary examination
Inspection of the test specimen in accordance with DIN EN ISO 376, Section 7.1.1.

3. Calibration
Determination and documentation of measurement deviations across the specified measurement range.

4. Calibration certificate
Documentation of the results and issue of the calibration certificate.

The calibration process itself does not involve any intervention in the sensor or the measuring system. If any deviations are detected, we can also carry out an adjustment or repair following consultation.

Calibration certificate and documentation

The results of the calibration are documented in a calibration certificate. This provides you with verifiable evidence of the condition and measurement results of your load cell or force measurement system at the time of calibration.

The calibration certificate can be used for the monitoring of test equipment and for documentation within the framework of quality management.
